This mini website was an assignment in which we were asked to animate a 3D object. The website had to include three sections and the subject was relatively open. The only constraint was that it needed to promote an artist or an artistic work. I opted for Mairo, a Swiss artist, because I had been listening to his new album and I felt like it would be a good opportunity to display an artist I like. For the 3D object, I selected a Virgin Mary figure, as it appears in the center of the album cover. The color palette of the website was also inspired by the tones of the cover.

I kept the animation relatively simple. In the first section, I used a classic 360 degree rotation of the 3D object with the artist’s name and the title of his new album. In the second section, his albums appear from newest to oldest as the statue moves from right to left across the screen. For the final section, I included a short descriptive paragraph about the artist from his Wikipedia page while the figure is on the left side slowly rotating.
